WebI have a something on or near my tonsil that is white in color but not like a strep throat. I have had many sore throats in my lifetime and haven't seen anything like this. I did have hand foot and mouth (got it from my toddler) just over two weeks ago - the nurse I saw said it was a blister on my throat. WebI had them out when I was 30. My Dr. said that I would continue to get strep (and spread it around) as long as I had them. I asked to be awake during the procedure because I had read somewhere that it takes twice as long to heal if you get general anesthesia. I found the entire experience fascinating.
