Upon adding an external participant the dial pad disappears. The external participant, making this a 3 person call can be a vendor with an automated message asking us to dial 1 or 2. The Phone app is still on your phone; you'll have to find it in the "page" icons, i.e. all the other icons above the Dock bar. If you can't find it on the 1st page, swipe left to go the next page and look for. Repeat until you find it.
